A man is charged with cocaine possession and resisting a police officer after lawmen tried to arrest him.
New Bern Police say when they noticed a suspicious vehicle parked in the Trent Court Housing Complex, they questioned the men inside and did a search. That's when they say they found cocaine in the pocket of 20 year old Justin James Oxner. Police say Oxner began to resist officers as they attempted to take possession of the drugs, kicking one officer in the shin. Oxner's bond was set at 15-thousand dollars.
