The Army has set a date for its first execution in nearly 50 years.

The military said Thursday that former North Carolina soldier
Ronald A. Gray is to be executed Dec. 10 at the federal prison
complex in Terre Haute, Ind. He was convicted of multiple rapes and murders.

Army Secretary Pete Geren ordered that the former cook die by lethal injection. President Bush approved the execution in July.

Gray is being held at Fort Leavenworth, Kan. He was convicted in a spree of four murders and eight rapes in North Carolina in 1986
and '87 while stationed at Fort Bragg.

The last military execution was in 1961. Army Pvt. John Bennett was hanged for raping and attempting to kill an 11-year-old Austrian girl.

In jail since 1986? who fed him for 22 years? the tax payer? and why lethal injection?why not hanging him in public for the Marines and Sodliers to watch? may they think twice before raping or killing inocent children and women's such as Mary Lauterbach

Wake up mike from your slumber.A website called adult friend finder list all kinds of perverts in the military and yes dressed in military garb. a guy showed me the website years ago,his mother wanted me a neighbor of his to keep an eye on him to help keep him out of trouble(a waste of my time)the joker was crazy with bi-polar disease.He moved(fled) out of state to Kansas to avoid being housed in cherry hospital(thank GOD)where he can pester those folks.Our military is full of sicko's
