Storms Cause Mess and Power Outages in Washington

Folks in Washington spent the morning cleaning up after Friday night's severe storms. Washington Utility power crews worked to restore power to folks that live along River Road in the Washington Park area. Strong winds, and possibly a downburst caused trees to fall and downed power lines, causing around 1200 customer outages. Utility crews from Greenville came into help and its working. At 6 p.m. Saturday there were only about 100 customers still without electricity, but power should be back for everyone by around 8 o'clock Saturday night.
