We're continuing to follow the story of a Pitt County man trapped in Lebanon, now on his way back home to his parents.
Tim Aynes went to Lebanon on a missionary trip and was trapped there when violence erupted in that country. We learned Saturday night that Tim finally boarded a boat and made it safely to Cyprus. He, along with thousands of other Americans getting processed on that island nation are said to be flying back to the United States, and will be landing in Baltimore. Tim's family couldn't be happier that he's coming home, and are very glad to put this week behind them.
Tim kept a blog while he was in Lebanon. If you would like to read some of his experiences, you can find his site at lebanon06.blogspot.com.
