Luncheon For Literacy

Steak and cheesecake brought out about 300 people today to help fight illiteracy. It was the fifth annual Luncheon for Literacy at Outback Steakhouse in Greenville Thursday afternoon. Proceeds from the luncheon will benefit the Literacy Volunteers of Pitt County, an organization that supports adult literacy programs. The restaurant donated the food and the staff volunteered its time so all of the money, $10.00 person, went to the program.
