Onslow County District Attorney Dewey Hudson has scheduled a news conference about the Cesar Laurean case for Thursday.
Laurean is the Camp Lejeune Marine charged in the murder of pregnant Marine Maria Lauterbach who's burned body was found buried in his backyard.
Laurean is now in a Mexican jail where he is fighting extradition.
We're told the news conference is not about the extradition process, but other recent developments that may have an impact on the case.
