Overseas Osprey Flight

Marines from New River Air Station in Jacksonville flew two new combat aircraft to England this week to test their long-distance flying
ability. The Marine Corps MV-22 Osprey flew to
Europe, in the first trans-Atlantic flight for the aircraft. Ospreys are designed to deploy on their own, instead of being loaded aboard ships and hauled to deployment sites.
The first Osprey are expected to deploy for combat next year.
