Two UNC-TV public affairs shows will be canceled this year because of a budget shortfall. UNC-TV says that "North Carolina Now," a
30-minute show that has aired for 12 years, will end September 29th. The second show, "Legislative Week in Review," will end after the current legislative session. A UNC-TV spokesman says state and private funds haven't grown with the
station's rising costs.
