Learning how to take care of pets was the focus of a camp hosted by Beaufort County Animal Control Wednesday. It's called "Kind Camp,” and featured a guest veterinarian from the Pamlico Animal Hospital. She talked with the kids and answered their questions. The camp aims to teach children about animal behavior and care, pet safety and the importance of spaying and neutering, all while encouraging the kids to be proactive. The camps are free for children ages eight to ten and continue each Wednesday for the next five weeks. You can contact Beaufort County Animal Control at 946-4517 for more information.
