A mobile jail couldn't hold some of its inmates Saturday night. Three men escaped from a mobile jail in Pamlico County.
Sheriff Bill Sawyer Junior said around 11 o'clock, Jajuan Harrell, Tracy Williams, and Richard Gibbons pulled in a door to the jail and escaped. Luckily around two Sunday morning, the parents of Harrell and Williams brought their sons back to custody, and Gibbons was found under a bridge in Alliance around 5 Sunday morning. All three are back in jail. The sheriff says the jail will remain closed until a new jail is built sometime in August. Williams, and Harrell were facing theft charges, while Gibbons was awaiting trail for statutory rape.
