Since July 1, everyone must move over and make way for emergency vehicles or it could cost you over $350. Since the "Move Over Law" began in 2002, 74 state highway patrol troopers have been injured and one killed because people did not make room for them. But this law also applies to those with amber lights as well, like tow trucks and utility trucks. Since July the fine increased from $25.00 to $250.00 and there is also $110.00 in court costs if you get a ticket. Plus if you fail to yield and you injure someone, you could face jail time.
