All of the rain we're getting isn't helping the Neuse River in Kinston to recede. As a matter of fact, a flood warning continues for that river until Tuesday afternoon.
A boat ramp off Highway 70 in Kinston is just about covered with water. The river level is right at 16 point five feet, nearly two feet above flood stage. The river is expected to rise to just over 17 feet before starting to recede.
Meanwhile, all of eastern Carolina is under a flood watch because of the rain.
