On Saturday the Brightleaf Amateur Radio Club held it's annual field day to demonstrate its emergency capabilities. It's a two day event that showcases the newest digital and satalitte features, and also morse code. Organizers say this time of communication is so vital, especially when a disaster strikes. Tthere are over 600-thousand amateur radio operators in the U.S, wwho provide free emergency communication for agencies like the Red Cross, and FEMA when all other lines of communication fail.
