The marina at Bridgeton Harbor, the first piece of the 1,000 acre riverfront community along the Neuse River, is now open.

They're leasing boat slips of up to 200 feet at special rates for a limited time. The property owner said the first 10 boaters to sign annual lease agreements will get one-month free to celebrate the grand opening.

Reservations are now being accepted on a limited number of luxury condominiums in the Bridgeton Harbor Yacht Club. Some community members think the complex will bring an economic boom to the area.

Bridgeton Harbor is planned to include more than 800 homes when completed.
