The Coast Guard has quit its search for a fishing boat crewman who was believed to have fallen overboard about 27 miles off the North Carolina coast.

The Coast Guard said Friday it suspended its search for 35-year-old Harvey Jones of Beaufort at nightfall.

Searchers began looking for Jones on Thursday morning after
receiving a call from the commercial fishing boat Shelley that a
crewman was missing.

Rescue boat crews from Fort Macon, helicopter and airplane crews
from Elizabeth City, a Coast Guard cutter and a Navy helicopter
spent 30 hours searching an area larger than the state of
Connecticut.

With all the crazy things going on in our country. Your story has no comment I noticed. I was once a Mariner myself. On a US ARMY Vessel LCM 5956. Most people do not understand the danger at sea. I Hope our Lord grants you peace you are now with your brother sailors. Have a pint Ale with your fellow Fisherman. God Speed Harvey Jones.
