Cracking Down On Suspected Drug Dealers

Thirty-five members of the Pitt County Sheriff's Department staged an operation on Highway 264 near Farmville. Deputies trained to spot telltale signs of drug traffickers were used to identify suspect vehicles. Those vehicles were then pulled over and searched. While many drivers were in the clear, Chief Lee Moore says operations like this one are critical in keeping the pressure on drug dealers. At least one arrest and several citations were issued during the operation.
