The results are in for several election runoffs in Eastern Carolina. Remember these are all unofficial results until a canvass of the votes can be completed.
In Beaufort County, in the Democratic primary for the Clerk of Court office, Marty Paramore has beaten Danny Slade and will run against Republican candidate James Vosburgh in November.
Moving to Martin County, the Democratic runoff for the sheriff's seat has Dan Gibbs topping Ricardo Hardison. As of right now, there is no Republican contender for Martin County sheriff. Biggs stands alone.
And in Washington County, there was a very tight race in the Democratic primary for the sheriff's seat there. James Smiley Ross beat Gregory H. Hassell by only 20 votes. Ross will face Republican candidate John Sawyer in November.
