There have been 34 armed robberies or strong armed robberies in the past two months in Greenville. Now an ice cream truck driver has become the victim of an armed robbery.

It happened Sunday afternoon around 5 p.m. at Skinner Street and Kennedy Circle. Greenville police say 19 year old Caleb Fletcher was delivering ice cream, when a male around 15 years old approached him from behind, stuck a gun to his back, struck him in the jaw and demanded money.

The victim gave the suspect an undetermined amount of cash and fled on foot. Authorities say there were 3 armed robberies in Greenville alone on Sunday. They believe these robberies could be gang related.
