A former state probation officer from Plymouth will serve the next three years and ten months in federal prison on drug charges.

Federal prosecutors say Patricia Gederberg will then have to serve five years of supervised release after her sentencing today for drug trafficking.

Prosecutors say while the 42-year-old Gederberg was a probation officer in Washington County she used her state-owned vehicle to transport drugs and meet with her contact to provide them with classified documents.

Gederberg was arrested last year and pled guilty in December.

Hey fed up, as someone who has worked with probation officers for several years I can answer your question: No there is NO competence at all in the probation system. NONE. We need to privatize this agency, STARTING TODAY!
