A piece of history came to the surface along the Carteret County coast Wednesday. Underwater archaeologists raised a cannon from what's presumed to be the pirate "Blackbeard's" sunken ship. The Queen Anne's Revenge project director says this is the ninth cannon out of 24 that have been recovered. It took archaeologists just twenty minutes to raise the cannon from the bottom of the wreck site, off North Carolina's coast near Beaufort Inlet. The cannon is headed for a lab in Greenville where it will undergo a four year restoration process.
