We have breaking news concerning a fire that was set at East Carolina University back in March. An East Carolina University student is now charged in connection with the March fire at Clement Resident Hall.
You'll recall the dramatic video from that fire on the Greenville campus, as a student trapped in her ninth floor dorm room had to be saved in a high-rise rescue. Now, officials say another student has been arrested and charged with first-degree arson.
That student, Latasha Ann Isler of Grifton, lived in the room where the flames started. Isler was arrested at the ECU police station Tuesday and later released on a $15,000 bond. Her first court appearance is Thursday.
Officials say they are not releasing any more information until a press conference Wednesday morning. We'll be there and bring you the latest developments.
