A big festival in the East is cancelling some of their activities Friday night and Saturday morning.
Organizers of the Ayden Collard Festival says Tropical Storm Hanna is forcing them to close down all rides and vendors Friday night, along with cancelling the scheduled entertainment.
All Saturday morning events have been cancelled as well. That includes the Mayor's Breakfast, 5K Road Race, Golf Tournament, Opening Ceremonies, Parade, Arts & Crafts Show, and Horseshoe and Tennis Tournaments have been cancelled. The 5K road race has been rescheduled for Saturday, September 13.
Rides and vendors will open Saturday as weather permits.
The Collard Eating Contest and Collard Cooking Contest will be postponed to Saturday evening, weather permitting. The Breeze Band will still perform, beginning at 8 p.m. Saturday, again, weather permitting.
