The Charlotte Bobcats' chief marketing officer has left the organization in another restructuring of the struggling franchise.

The Bobcats announced on Tuesday that the team and executive vice president Greg Economou had "mutually and amicably" agreed to part ways.

Chief administration officer Jared Bartie will take over Economou's marketing duties.

The Bobcats have struggled to win over fans since they entered the league in the 2004-05 season. Economou was hired in September 2006 after team president Ed Tapscott resigned instead of accepting a demotion. But the Bobcats ranked 24th out of 30 teams in attendance last season.

Bartie is in his second year with the team after working for the NBA.
