There were some minor injuries after two school buses collided in La Grange in Lenoir County.

Officials say two buses approached each other on East Railroad Street just after 3 p.m., and their driver's side mirrors slammed together. Some of the windows broke.

One was a high school bus, and one was a middle school bus.

None of the students on the bus were seriously hurt, but some got checked out and treated by medical personnel.

The parents of the children on the buses came to the site to pick up the children.

The buses are not as wide as the boats that will be pulled under new legislation. Makes you wonder how long it will be before to meeting boats scrape together. Gov. Easley may have been correct.

Thank God none of the children or drivers were seriously injured. I feel for the parents that were called to the scene to pick up their children. I cannot imagine the anxiety they must have been feeling.
