An Ohio mother could face the death penalty after being convicted Friday of murdering her month-old daughter by burning her in a microwave oven.

A jury is slated to return on Tuesday to begin hearing evidence
in the sentencing phase of the case.

China Arnold had been accused of killing Paris Talley in 2005.
Her first trial ended in a mistrial in February.

Prosecutors had claimed the 28-year-old Arnold intentionally put
her baby in the microwave oven and cooked her to death after a
fight with her boyfriend.

Arnold's cellmate had testified that Arnold confessed to her
that she killed the baby because she was worried her boyfriend
would leave her if he found out the child wasn't his.

Arnold's defense lawyer claimed there's evidence that someone
else was responsible.

No man, or anyone for that matter can make me angry enough to kill my child and an infant at that..This woman clearly has issues and hopefully is tormented daily by the thought of what she has done.

Let the punishment fit the crime....stuff her in a microwave, turn on the power, and let her rip! God Bless the poor little innocent baby...she is now one of God's precious angels.

She could face the death penalty. She most definately should face the death penalty. This is horrific crime this is and outrage. People just don't do things like this and be able to live and talk about it. If the death penalty was reinstated the crime rate would decrease dramaticly without a doubt. People would stop and think about what would happen to them if they kill someone or rape someone. And the lesser crime got the canning punishment like the phlippines give. I know I would walk a straight line.
