A Carteret County man is in jail after his arrest last night on rape charges.

Marvin Hardison, Jr. was arrested by Atlantic Beach police on a second degree rape charge.

The 31-year-old Hardison is in the county jail on a $50,000 bond.

I have known Marvin 'Buddy' for at least 15 years and I don't think he is capable of such a crime. I think the authorities should investigate further. The so-called victim is known for being a liar, not to mention several other members of his family know that shes a little batty.
