Multiple arrests have been made in a murder that has gone unsolved for the past five months.

Martin County deputies say six men are charged in connection with the death of Tyrone Lee Perry.

Perry's body was found on March 20th at a local logging company on Highway 125 in Hamilton.

Facing murder and conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon charges are Donsennie Person, 20 of Hassell, his brother Dayvon Person, 17 of Hassell, Donald Smallwood, 22 of Williamston, O'Darrin Jenkins, 19 of Hamilton and Anterrio Council, 24 of Robersonville.

Deputies have also charged Dravon Best, 28 of Williamston with conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon.

The five charged with murder are being held without bond, while Best's bond was set at $100,000.

Deputies say Perry was robbed and then shot while working at Hardison's Logging.

At first deputies weren't sure how Perry died, but an autopsy showed the man died from a gunshot wound to the head.

In May the governor's office announced a $5,000 reward for information on the arrest and conviction of Perry's killer.

I did not say tyrone's family owes anyone an apology. I said people on this forum and the previous news story forum who convicted, tried and slanderd someone based on no eveidence owed an apology to the Hardisons.Of course, they did not convict anyone. The people making the slander statements, didn't have enough sense to work in anything such as law enforcement. They slandered an innocent man. Again, I never said the perry family. They seem like reasonable people and good people. Who suffered the lose of a family member. And apparently you are not related to them. I know the people arrested were arrested for murder and robbery. Why do I care? Because it is public record and I have a right to care. You certainly sound bitter and sorry if my questions touched a nerve there. Sometimes the truth hurts. It was typical of our crime problem. Black on Black crime. Check the stats , a fact.

I dont think that Tyrone's family owes anyone an apology. Why would they? They didnt convict anybody. They knew about as much as everyone else claimed to know. The fact is, someone knew alot more than they were willing to say, and still do. As far as the MCSD goes, they did a very good job, but they were just doing their jobs. Also, why do you care who they were trying to rob-it wasnt you. And believe me, Tyrone did not lose his life trying to protect the Hardisons or anyone else, he was not a hero, he was just a regular person and yes, a very good man wholoved life and his family. And if Hardison wasnt there and had nothing to do with it, you should be proud of YOUR Hardison.

I do think an apology should be offered from people on this forum to the Hardison family. He was accused and tried and convicted on this forum. Thank God, we have a Bill of rights in this country. Thank God, we have a good Sheriff , who did not jump to conclusions. The crime was investigated, and arrest have beeen made. One question, These guys were arrested for robbery and Murder. Who were they trying to rob? Possibly the Hardison family. Possibly Tyrone is a hero for saving the Hardison family? Possibly, Tyrone was a good enough man, who protected a woman home alone. I understand they were high school Buddies. Couldn't we all use a friend like that. Perry family, be proud of your Tyrone. Good Man.
