A tornado was reported to the National Weather Service early Thursday morning in Wilson County, just north of the Wayne County line.

The report says at 1:02 a.m. Thursday, a tornado was reported near Fremont in Wilson County. Several trees were reported down and a basketball goal was blown over along South Beaver Dam Rd., according to the National Weather Service report. There is also a report of a large barn getting destroyed by a tornado near Fremont, on the Wayne County side.

A possible tornado was reported in Rose Hill in Duplin County at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.

A tornado was spotted Wednesday afternoon in Wilson County as well, according to the National Weather Service. This sighting was reported by law enforcement at Highway 42 and Lloyd Rd. at 1:25 p.m.

Less than 20 minutes later, at 1:41 p.m. law enforcement and a spotter reported a funnel cloud near Highway 264 and I-95.

At 1:55 p.m., spotters reported a tornado at I-95 and Bloomery Rd.

At 2:09 p.m., another tornado may have touched down near New Hope along the Nash/Wilson County line, according to the National Weather Service reports.

No serious damage was reported with any of the reports.
