Crack and cash... Lawmen say that's what they seized Tuesday night during the arrest of two Martin County men.

Derrick Spruill, age 28, and Joseph Roberson, age 49, both of Williamston, were arrested.

Fifty grams of crack and $500 were confiscated.

The Martin County Sheriff's Office and Williamston Police Department say the arrests came from an investigation of possible drug activity in the area of West Main Street and Roberson Street.

Williamston Police Dept. seems to focus more on drugs, which is a plus, but when will they start solving some of the unsolved murders in this town! This small town has suffered a great deal from people being murdered for no reason. I know they got to have the information on what's going on but it may be a matter of time until Williamston Police Dept. releases the correct info. Hopefully, it will be sooner than we think! I really miss "Stan the Man" "Baby Hulk" was a great guy who didn't bother anyone and everyone seem to really like this guy!

They caught Guy Again! Well that boy will not learn. I used to live in williamston and Guy is a dealer, but mid-level at the most. The big men are still out there so dont pat yourselfs on the back too soon. Keep up the good work you are making little dent in the drug trade in martin county. When I see a bust that net 200 or 300K$ and a 300K house and 5 or 6 high value cars I will say that MCSO and WPD are making a huge impact.

Way to go MCSO and WPD. The hard work and persistance pays off. People are quick to accuse police officers of being lazy and not solving cases. The public does not realize the amount of time put into cases. Police officers cannot function without the assistance of the public so instead of wasting time bad mouthing them put effort into helping so more cases can be solved.

I am glad to hear those two have been picked up, now lets hope they stay behind bars. Crack cocaine is the VERY WORST drug ever next to Meth and every chance to get it and the dealers off the streets needs to be commended. I would love to see more of that work here in Washington County. We have a severe drug problem on our streets.

AGAIN, GUY!!! you are outta here once again! I must say that Guy (Spruill), must not've learn a lesson when he was away the first time. I mean he just got out a couple of months ago, if my calculations are correct. Boy, I tell you, trying to make that fast money will land you in fast prison. Find a job and work for what you get, you'll appreciate it so much more. And for Joe (Roberson), I dont think he was selling, as a matter of fact I know he wasnt cause he use it waaayy too much to sell, maybe he just bought some and was caught with it. Either way, I hate if for both of them but mainly Joe b/c he has a good heart, and will do anything for anybody, just got caught up with the wrong people. He had just started back going to church too. All I can say is I really hope that he didnt have that much on him to keep him locked up for many years like Guy is gonna be--this time--

Obviously Spruill didn't learn anything the first time he went to prison.

Did they confiscate crack or cocaine? There is a BIG difference between the two. I hate how people lump them together.
