Four teenagers who escaped from a Martin County group home are now back in custody.

The three boys and a girl escaped last night from the BMB Group Home in Williamston.

The escapees were captured around 11:00 a.m. this morning after they were spotted in Critcher Manor, a public housing complex in Williamston. Police say they were caught after a brief foot chase.

A spokesman for the N.C. Department of Juvenile Justice says the alarm at the group home was disabled around 9:30 p.m.

BMB is a group home for youthful offenders who are on probation.
