Local produce is flying off stand shelves as prices go up in stores.
Emmanuel Bryant owns a produce stand in Onslow County and says his business has been booming due to the soaring food prices at the grocery store. He says he is able to keep his costs down because he doesn't have to ship anything in -- it's all fresh and locally grown.
Bryant says people are also choosing to visit his stand after the salmonella scare on tomatoes and peppers -- he says more people now are choosing to buy locally grown items.
