Camp Lejeune Memorial

Marines say it was a sad, but necessary reminder that the war on terror rages on. Friday, 265 Camp Lejeune troops who have died in the war in Iraq were remembered. The names were read aloud to family, friends, and around 3,000 other Marines, all there to show support for the cause they died for. Some officials say this service can add a sense of closure to some grieving families. The 295 soldiers died in service to their country from January 1, 2005, until March 10, 2006.
