If you hate having to listen to phone conversations from the next table while eating at a restaurant, a popular casual-dining chain is setting aside one day per week for quiet dining.
Applebee's will be going tech-free at least one day per week.
The chain submitted a trademark application for something called "No Tech Tuesday," which is designed to keep you free of using your mobile device while dining.
The rest of the week, however, will be an all out attempt to be tech friendly.
The casual-dining chain plans to install 100,000 thousand tablets on every table at more than 1,800 restaurants nationwide by the end of the year.
You will be able to pay for your meal and order additional items right from the tablet.
