A Martin County man is scheduled for execution next week in Raleigh, but his lawyers say the state's proposal to use a brain wave monitor for a less painful execution doesn't comply with the court's order. Correction officials say they would drug 61 year old Willie Brown if he appeared conscious during the execution. But that's not good enough for his lawyers or the judge, who says he will stop the execution if brown is the least bit awake or alert.
