Tyson Chicken Recall Save Email Print

Tyson Foods Inc. is recalling more than 51,000 pounds of frozen raw chicken breast tenderloin over concerns it may contain soy.

The world's largest meat processor said Thursday that soy, a known allergen, was not declared on the product's label.

Tyson says the meat came from a plant in Vicksburg, Miss., between July 23 and Aug. 1, and was shipped to Tyson food service distributors nationwide.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service says it has received no reports about people being sickened by the chicken.

Matt; If that John Edwards situation would have been any conservative figure it would still be leading all the headlines today. If we were still dependent solely on ABC,CBS,NBC,& CNN we wouldn't even know about it. I am aware that it was The National Enquirer that broke the story, but if it had not been confirmed, I probably wouldn't have given it much credibility. I am so tired of the media being in the tank for the Left. How can you actually call yourself a journalist when all of your stories are written and reported with an agenda? When you choose what you will report on and what you won't the same way? Just get the FACTS and only the FACTS. Report the FACTS without elimination of the ones that don't support your personal view. Don't do a story that annihilates a public figure that opposes your personal view and then pass on a story that does the same to someone that supports your side of life. It is human nature to be one sided, it takes thought to be objective.

Right on VBush! So good to see that I'm not the only informed person here. You won't here about these things in the lamestream media. Just like the John Edwards story that never got it's air time 2 weeks ago.

VBush- AMERICAN HOLIDAY is a national holiday. MUSLIM HOLIDAY is a religious holiday. I think it's about time that companies began to recognize other peoples beliefs too so that they can also keep parts of their heritage. That's what makes our country so great!

Would this problem be because your workers can not read English?

Same here VBush. Lets contact the media for answers.

Isn't this just typical? Every other day there is a mass recall for some kind of foods. This world is filled with ignorant people and apparently most of them own or work in our food resources!

No Worries here. I took Tyson Foods off my list yesterday when I found out that they have exchanged Labor Day for a Muslim Holiday in their Shelbyville TN Plant. I also Notice that WITN has not reported that. So now the employees at that plant work on an AMERICAN HOLIDAY and get the day off on a MUSLIM HOLIDAY. I am sick in my gut.
