Marine reservists are training at Camp Lejeune for a mission to South America.

Handling a vehicle ambush is a real life scenario that happens all too often in Iraq or Afghanistan. That's why the Marine reservists, part of a new unit called Marine Corps Training and Advisory group were sharpening their skills Wednesday.

The Marines will learn the skills to survive ambushes, IED explosions, and driving and tactical skills. This new unit will work in small groups to aid security forces in other countries.

The training program is 120 days. The Marines tell us they will deploy to South America to utilize these skills sometime this fall.
