Celebrate the upcoming summer season with Washington as the city's annual summer festival kicks off tonight.
The 31st Annual Washington Summer Festival starts Friday at 5:00pm along the Stewart Parkway and Festival Park in Downtown Washington where everyone can enjoy a variety of family-centered activities, including local vendors and a kid zone with children's entertainment.
Friday activities will include arts and crafts, food, rides, and a performance from the Embers featuring Craig Woolard at 7:00pm. The night will end with a bang as fireworks set off at 9:00pm.
The fun will restart 10:00am Saturday with more rides and food, along with performances by local bands K-OS, CAPS, and the Mickele Buck Band, beginning at 4:00pm.
Enjoy the sweet sound of the NC Symphony at 5:30pm Sunday.
Dockdogs will be across from the Festival Park throughout the weekend.
