More than 900 Marines and sailors have returned to Camp Lejeune from Iraq, where they helped Iraqi security forces try to maintain control. Those who returned yesterday are members of the Second Battalion, Sixth Marines, Second Marine Division, which spent seven months in Iraq. The battalion lost eleven Marines who were killed in action, and
two who died from non-hostile causes. About 100 received a Purple Heart.
