A Kinston man has been arrested on felony child abuse charges, after investigators say he placed a three year old in a tub of scalding water and severely burned him. Authorities say 29-year-old Edward Lewis Warren was babysitting his girlfriend's foster child when the incident occurred. Lawmen say Warren's girlfriend came home and found the injured child, and then took him to Lenoir Memorial Hospital. The child was later flown to the Chapel Hill Burn Center, where he is currently in stable condition.
