Counterfeit goods, its a problem that's popping up in our local flea markets more and more.
From fake cd's, to dvd's, from clothes, to shoes, officials say if it can be made, it can be counterfeited. But that's why Pitt County Sheriff's deputies are cracking down. Three days of flea market raids turned out 3 arrests, with more pending, and over 200,000 dollars worth of seized goods. But deputies say this type of criminal activity is growing.
The county has joined the North Carolina Task Force for Contraband Items, and they say they will continue to protect the public from fake merchandise.
