A risk of bad weather couldn't ruin the 23rd Annual Purple and Gold Pigskin Pigout in Greenville Saturday.
Officials say they wanted bigger and better this year for the pirate fans, so they called in some big guns, like a carnival, live bands, and tons of bar-b-q. Amazingly, the rain held off for most of the celebrations. Officials say if it had rained, it could have been disastrous in terms of raising money for their scholarship athletes because this is one of their biggest fundraisers.
The carnival will pick up again on Sunday until 11 p.m., and its family day so you can get discounted tickets.
