Highway 17 business through Vanceboro in Craven County will be closed in both directions next week.

Work will start Tuesday morning at seven and is expected to end on Thursday at 6 p.m.

A detour will be set up. The closure is necessary as crews improve the railroad crossing.

I think another check of the location should done. Electronic signs are up on 17 Bypass railroad crossing at Vanceboro, not business 17. Business 17 is the detour.
