It's a piece of artwork that represents one of the biggest festivals in the state. Wednesday night the official poster for the 2006 North Carolina Seafood Festival was unveiled in Morehead City. Anna Courdes, a Morehead City artist, created the piece of art that represents the spirit of commerical fishing and one of the largest festivals in the state. She says she is thrilled to win.
It took Courdes about two weeks to complete the oil painting that is full of fish, all native to North Carolina waters. In all, 20 artists from all over the state submitted original paintings. WITN is one again a proud sponsor of the North Carolina Seafood Festival. This year's 20th annual festival takes place October 6th through the 8th in Morehead City.
