One family in Eastern Carolina is dealing with its own destruction.

That after a truck came crashing through the porch and into the living room. Luckily no one was home at the Pinetown residence in Beaufort County.

State Highway Patrol says 27 year old Carl Waters of Pinetown tried to stop to late for a stop sign on Beaver Dam Road.

When he jammed on the brakes, lawmen say the empty tobacco trailer he was pulling pushed the truck across the road and into the house.

Highway Patrol charged Waters with DWI, which they say could be the result of prescription drugs, and failing to stop at a stop sign.
