Possible gang members with a possible stolen gun belonging to wildlife enforcement. Law enforcement from two different counties are trying to sort through the story.

It all started in Craven County with the report of a stolen vehicle. It ended in Beaufort County when the vehicle was stopped on Whichards Beach Road Wednesday night. Lawmen say eight people were inside, all had red bandanas, signs of possible gang affiliation. They also had a wildlife enforcement gun which could have been stolen. Highway Patrol Troopers spotted the stolen car and pulled it over.

The 8 men were taken to the Craven County Jail. The Craven County Sheriff's Department is now handling the investigation.

try them and when convicted put them in (new)Caldonia prison where they can run for miles and miles and get nowhere, but there will be a lot of crops for them to plant and pick.this will break the worst of the pack if that doesn't do it the night moves by the hardened criminals will loose up their behinds.

To Ned: Just because a thief or thug breaks into your locked house or car and steals your property, does not make you careless, it make you a victim.

Great job NCHP! Were any of the suspects a Wildlife officer? If not, what wildlife officer is being so careless with his/her weapon to have it stolen or lost?

Lock them up for a long time, charge each one ith the stolen vehicle charge as well as stolen gun posession. Tack on another charge for gang involvement with intent to harm due to the stolen gun in their presence.
