It’s a big day on the campus of Craven Community College. To celebrate founder's day, the school held a groundbreaking for a new advanced manufacturing center.
The 30,000 square foot facility will house state of the art training for the company BSH and other manufacturing companies based in Craven County. The construction of this center fulfills a promise the state made in 2001 to lure the German appliance maker to set up shop in Craven County.
The state allocated more than $4 million for this project.
