Driver Accused of Hitting Students Sentenced

A man accused of running a stoplight and hitting two Greenwood Middle School boys in Goldsboro has been sentenced to probation.

Wilder Feldemar Mejia pled guilty to hitting the two students last November as they were walking to school. He's been sentenced to 24 months probation. He's also been warned if he violates any part of that probation he'll be sentenced to jail for 20 to 33 months.

Both of the boys that Mejia hit suffered serious injuries.
