Surfers, tourists and swimmers were hitting the beach to see what Tropical Storm Cristobal was all about.
This video was shot in Atlantic Beach this morning where the waves were the main attraction, some nearing 6 feet.
We even caught this beautiful rainbow on camera peeking through the clouds.
But, despite the light rain and occasional wind gust, many people were out on the beach snapping photos, walking their dogs, and even going for a dip.
Most folks we talked to said they just wanted to see what a tropical storm was all about.
Carteret County is not expected to see a large amount of flooding or wind damage.
