A South Carolina child and her mother, who authorities say were kidnapped this morning have been found in our state, and the man who stands accused of taking them is now behind bars.

According to our NBC affiliate in Columbia, South Carolina, a tip from a citizen led police to a wooded area in Brunswick County, North Carolina.

Inside the car, two year old Namia Vaught, her mother Evette Vaught and the suspect in the case, Marco Vaught.

According to WIS, the two were found okay.

An Amber Alert this morning said the mother and her child were in extreme danger.

PREVIOUS STORY:
An Amber Alert has been issued for a missing 2-year-old South Carolina girl and her mother believed to be headed toward North Carolina.

The State Law Enforcement Division says authorities are searching Saturday for Namia Vaught.

The girl and her mother, 29-year-old Evette Nannette Vaught, were last seen on Highway 701 toward North Carolina from Loris.

Officials say they have identified 25-year-old Marco Vaught as the suspect.

All three may be traveling in a white four-door Chrysler Sebring with a South Carolina dealer tag on the back.

Authorities say the girl and her mother may be in extreme danger.
