Off Duty Officer Kills A Man In Self Defense

It's a frightening thought. An intruder trying to break into your home late at night.
An off duty police officer says it happened to him at his girlfriend's home at Ramblewood Apartments in Greene County Wednesday night while her two kids were there. Stantonsburg police officer Rodney Williams says that's when he opened fire with his police weapon killing the man who turned out to be his girlfriend's ex husband, 32 year old Michael Honey, the father of the kids.
It's unclear why Honey showed up at the apartment, but Williams told authorities he feared for his life. Williams does not face charges or disciplinary action at this time.

4/17/09-I just heard about this tonight. Mike was a wonderful guy! He used to be my neighbor in Greensboro, NC. He was never a belligerent person. He loved his kids and their mother. I remember when he moved his family supposedly trying to get a record deal in Atlanta. My heart is broken. You knew when Mike was passing by your apt because you could hear his beautiful voice. He loved to sing. Most of the time, he was strolling the baby for an afternoon walk. To me, this sounds like a bunch of bull crap. He probably wanted to see his kids that day and talk to Monique. Why do you have to shoot a unarmed man six times. The off duty cop should have been able to fight, worst case scenario. Mike was NEVER one to fight or carry himself as if he was out of order. This may be one good coverup to get rid of someone because of liking someone else. Somebody's heart should be heavy. This doesn't add up. I pray that God shows himself mighty and the truth comes forth.

You people watch wayy too much CSI. Its ok to be curious, but people read way too much into this. If the cop wasnt there then we maybe would have had a rape or homicide instead of a self-defense case.
